The Shropshire Drama Festival. (a first round festival of the All England Theatre Festival) The festival is held every Spring and showcases the best theatrical talent from around the county. In July 2017 Belfrey Youth Theatre in Wellington will be performing The Midnight Flower Press – a musical set amidst the dangerous and cruel working conditions for children in pre-Victorian Britain. The show follows a young girl called Flora who works in a cotton mill. Her father has died and Flora and her siblings are trying to care for their sick mother and earn enough to keep the family going.
